Common questions

Everything you need to know

What is a premium domain name?
A premium domain is a short, memorable, keyword-rich domain name with established value, typically sold on the secondary market rather than registered fresh. Premium domains are usually one or two words, easy to spell, and aligned with high-intent search terms — making them faster to remember, type, and rank.
How do I buy a premium domain on Flair?
Use AI search or browse our collections, click "Buy now" or "Make offer", and complete the purchase via secure escrow. Funds are held by Escrow.com until your domain transfers — usually within 24 hours. A valid Australian ABN, ACN or business registration is required to hold Australian domains under auDA rules.
What does a domain broker do?
A domain broker negotiates the purchase or sale of a domain name on your behalf. We research ownership, value the asset against comparable sales, contact the owner anonymously, negotiate, and manage escrow. Brokers add the most value on domains worth $5,000+, where a small percentage saved exceeds the brokerage fee.
How much does a domain broker cost in Australia?
Flair charges a flat 15% success fee on closed deals — no upfront retainer, no hourly rates. If we don't close, you don't pay. For domains under $5,000 we recommend self-managed sales (which are 100% free).
How do I sell my domain name?
Open a free seller account, run an AI valuation, then either list it on the marketplace or hand it to our broker team. We handle inquiries, qualifying buyers, negotiation, and escrow. You set your floor price, we do the rest.
How does domain escrow work?
Escrow protects both parties. The buyer pays Escrow.com (a licensed payment institution), Flair initiates the transfer to the buyer's registrar, the buyer confirms receipt, and only then does Escrow release funds to the seller. No party holds funds and a domain at the same time.
Which Australian domain extension should I choose?
The most established extension remains the strongest ranking signal for Australian search and the most trusted by local consumers. Newer, shorter extensions are increasingly popular — many businesses now own both and redirect one to the other. Our brokers will advise on what fits your brand best.
