Our story
Born from a frustration shared by every Aussie founder.
Flair started life in 2015 as Brandzilla. The idea came from a problem our founder, Cliff Bregman, kept running into in the corporate world: every founder he advised had the same gripe — finding a great Australian domain name was painful. The good ones were taken, the available ones were forgettable, and the marketplaces were either built for the global .com market or stuffed with low-quality drop catches.
Cliff saw an opportunity to do something genuinely Australian: hand-curate a collection of premium .com.au and .au names, give each one the polish it deserved — a logo, a clear description, a real price — and treat sellers and buyers like adults rather than auction-house bidders.
Ten years later, Brandzilla had brokered well over a thousand premium .au domains and built a reputation as the Australian-market specialist competitors couldn't match. In 2026 we relaunched as Flair — the same team, the same Sydney office, the same hand-reviewed standards, with a sharper marketplace, AI-assisted search, and a brokerage practice that goes after the names that aren't even listed.
What hasn't changed: every name that lands on Flair is reviewed by a senior broker. Every appraisal is written by a human. Every transfer runs through escrow. We're a small team obsessed with one specific market — premium Australian domains — and we'd rather be the best at that than mediocre at everything.
